The most important aspect of what I would love to accomplish is to inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders. My goal is to mold future leaders so that they will be able to mentor the next generation after. It is both rewarding and challenging to motivate the youth. I think back to when I was a teenager and the only things that motivated me were video games, girls and going number two in the restroom. There is a spark that happens, though, right? For many of us, it just clicked one day. What makes you a leader? For me it was sports. Baseball taught me everything I needed to know about what it took to be a great leader.
I believe leadership is the most important quality any successful person can have. I wish someone was there to guide me in being a better leader off the baseball field. It is amazing how we can separate our focused emotions in different settings. On the field, I was fierce and held people accountable, off the field, I was what I call an atmosphere leader. What does that mean? It means I was a perceived leader that people looked up to and sought out advice from but underneath that surface I was afraid. Afraid of success and failure at the same time. I know there are tons of teenagers in this world who are atmosphere leaders. My goal is to be their guide, to help them be leaders in everyday life and succeed early and often. After all, The quickest way to become a successful adult is to become a successful young adult.
