“Often, people who can do, don’t because they’re afraid of what people that can’t do will say about them doing.” -Trevor Noah
WOW! This may be my favorite quote to do a spotlight on. This literally embodies what the world is going through right now. This is the exact reason why people fail and never try again. This is the rebuttal to every cliche motivational quote or phrase. People are afraid of what others think so much that they don’t do anything at all. Every day I see people not try or not give the effort the know they need to give because they are afraid of what people who can’t do what they do will say about them. It’s ridiculous!
Here is the best question I can ask you. Why do you care? Why do you care what others think about you? Not one person can walk your path, not one person can think, react and feel exactly as you do. Excuse my language but one of my favorite Jay-Z lines is “What you eat don’t make me shit.” TRUTH! I move the way I move, I talk, think and walk MY WAY. I don’t give a damn what you think about me. I stay righteous and true to myself and God. My kids love me! The people close to me believe in me. That’s all I need. This is the mentality you need to carry for yourself. You are enough! Remember that. Be blessed! Be Inspired!
I hate that phrase “You want your cake and to eat it too.” You DAMN right! Why would anyone not want that? Here’s another classic… Life is too short! You only live once! We can do this all day.
The reason I feel so fired up about this today is for the same reason listed above. We only live once and before we know it those years fly by so quickly. So live your life the way you want with as much happiness as possible. Do not let anyone bring you down to their level of thinking. Educate yourself and go after your passions. It’s not enough to want to do these things, you have to put these things into action. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. Get off the couch, get off the computer and be productive. Too many of us do things for leisure and not for future. Make the best of your life the rest of your life. Be Blessed! Be Inspired!
Are you waiting for the perfect storm? What I mean by this is are you waiting for all the stars to align so the chips fall in the perfect slots? Please, I hope the answer was no. Unfortunately, for most of you, the answer is yes if we are being honest. People often wait for that perfect moment to do something. They wait for the perfect storm to create the momentum necessary for them to begin the success process. I want to be very clear with this next sentence. THERE WILL NEVER BE A PERFECT TIME!
The closest you will ever come to a perfect time is saying something like “If not now, when?” Do not compromise your growth for a perfect moment. Great moments are created not handed. Nobody is going to come up to you with the perfect opportunity just because it’s Monday. GO GET IT! Stop waiting around to become awesome, prove to the world that you are what’s been missing in the lives of those who need you. Start today! Be blessed! Be Inspired!
Never let them dictate your life. Go get yours!
This weekend should be about You doing something because someone told you not to. Your entire life will be filled with doubts. There will always be someone to talk to you out your dreams, hell even you will talk yourself out of those same dreams.
This weekend put all doubts aside and go for your dreams. Life is too short to sit around and wonder why you never did something. Regret is one hell of a drug and waiting for something great to happen is a sure fire way to be behind the 8 ball in life. Get out in front of what you want to accomplish. Your life will be so much more fulfilling if you can believe in you. Be Blessed! Be Inspired!
“I think faith is vitally important to your day, your seconds in each day. Faith helps to get you through the day.”
If this isn’t true I don’t know what is. Having faith in whatever you believe in is essential to survival. Faith is what gets us through tough times, it’s the anecdote to fear. Fear ruins everything for us mentally, it tells us that it’s time to give up because we will lose anyway, faith tells us that what’s on the other side of fear is everything that we have ever wanted in life.
Most people dabble in their faith and only use it when they feel it’s necessary. I say carry that strong will and faith with you every second of the day and you won’t feel like you need a miracle. Miracles are hard to come by but good karma is easily accessible. Stay true to your core values and live by your faith and you will soon see the blessings fall in your lap. Be blessed! Be Inspired!
There are a lot of ways I can go with this post. Today it will be the mental aspect of being institutionalized. First, let’s define Institutionalized. It is defined as established in practice or custom.
We practice the art of laziness and we customize it to our personal lives. This is why it is hard to get started on things. We all want that diet to work, we all want to get to a gym or to just exercise in general. We don’t because we customize our minds to be stagnant. One of the best books I have ever read is called the 5 second Rule written by Mel Robbins. She explains that every decision we make is left up to a 5-second decision followed by action. “Followed by action!” Every mental decision you make is followed by action, it’s up to you to determine what type of action that will be.
It’s very clear that if we all decide to implement positive action in everything we do, life would be better for all of us. Things start to fall apart when we put that negative energy out in the world. Do not contribute to the negative that this world brings. I realize it is easier said than done but that negativity is the core of what being institutionalized is made from. Do not be a prisoner to your laziness! it’s a lot easier to deal with the bad when you can find the silver lining in everything. Break your mind free of all things negative and watch the blessings flow. You’ll have good days very often. Be blessed! Be Inspired!
